Transformation Materials

Growth Mindset–believing that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work.  These materials assist teachers as they work with children on developing a growth mindset.  It is called transformation because we are all transforming as we age and develop new skills and knowledge.  See the description below for information on each of the transformation products:  Packet, Student Leaflet, and Parent Guide.

Packet: This packet contains:  1 student activity booklet, 1 lesson plan, 1 poster, and 1 parent guide.  It is helpful to use it for preview purposes.  You only need to purchase one packet whether you are using it with one student or in a classroom or youth group setting.   Each teacherlesson plan is suitable for classroom use in schools, camps, youth groups, and in faith-based institutions.  Teachers can be school teachers, counselors, youth leaders, parents, or other adults interested in teaching children important character attributes. Once you decide to implement, order sufficient quantities of the materials below for each of your students:

  • Student Activity Leaflet:  The student activity booklet (pictured) uses vibrant images and activity prompts for critical thinking to teach about the importance of having a growth mindset — believing that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work.  The booklet is four pages printed on card stock.
  • Parent Guides:  Parent guides are used in several ways.  In the classroom, teachers send home the guides when the class begins the “Transformation” lesson.  Parents are encouraged to implement some activities at home to reinforce the concept of a growth mindset.
